Will YOU heed My warning? - Written by: Larry St Clair

Dear Friend, my message is not popular or well accepted and I’ve been accused of bashing churches because they believe differently, but your salvation may be at risk unless I warn you.  Most churches have set aside Bible truth in order to teach their traditions! The Courts have removed public prayer from our schools and the Bible is not allowed.  The name of Jesus is not to be mentioned in public and the 10 Commandments are not to be displayed.  Fewer and fewer people are allowing God to influence their lives.

The 10 Commandments are found in Exodus 20 and no part of the 10 Commandments have been changed or abolished.   Paraphrasing:  (1) We must worship only the Father and His Son, Jesus.  Not movie stars or sports figures, the Pope or any other human.  (2) There cannot be graven images (statues of Jesus, crosses, etc.) used in worship.  (3) We must stop swearing.  (4) The seventh day (Saturday) is the day of worship, commanded by God.  (5) We must respect and honor our parents.  (6) We must control our anger and quit hurting each other.  (7) Sexual immorality must stop.

(8) Robbing each other must also stop.  (9) We have to quit lying to each other. (10) We must control our lust or it will draw us into breaking any of the other 9.  All 10 guide us on how to conduct ourselves so that we can please God and eventually join His family and have everlasting life!  “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”  2 Peter 1:4

If we will be honest to ourselves, we will recognize we have fallen short of obeying God.  “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”  Romans 3:23

The ignoring of God’s laws will soon bring His righteous wrath upon us.  Repentance is mandatory!  “From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”  Matthew 4:17

Unfortunately, many churches falsely teach that Jesus kept God’s laws for you and they are now abolished or “nailed to the cross.”  Nothing could be further from the truth!  Jesus kept the laws to show you it could be done.  It was our sins placed on Him and our death penalty that was nailed to the cross.  “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”  Romans 6:23

God’s gift is called grace.  We can’t earn it, it is given because of God’s love for us, but we must obey Him.

They also accuse Paul of teaching against God’s laws.  This is what Paul really taught: “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.  What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.” Romans 6:14-15   “Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.” Romans 7:12   “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.  But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.” Galatians 2:16-17   Paul never teaches against the law, he is only explaining, “Salvation is not in keeping the law, salvation is in Christ!”

I believe time is short and this may be your last warning.  Religion taught in the Bible is completely different compared to what is taught in 99% of today’s churches.  They have watered down or changed God’s word.  They do not teach the truth.  They will say things to make you feel good and they will take your money.  Most TV preachers will take your money and send you a 29 cent trinket, is that what you really want?

Peter foresaw these things and warned us, “But there werefalse prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.  Andmany shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.  And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.”  2 Peter 2:1-3

Time after time the Bible warns us there would be many false prophets, for example Jesus said, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”  Matthew 7:13-15

I’ve found in talking to people, they just can’t believe their church is false.  After all, it’s the church they were raised in.  Their minister is kind and sincere.  They go to church every Sunday; they attend “Sunriseservices every Easter. They celebrate Christ’s birthday at Christmas.  They believe in the Trinity, the “immortal soul” that goes to heaven if they’re “good”or an everlasting hellfire if they’re “bad.”  Very few of my readers will realize these are all pagan superstitions and traditions practiced long before the birth of Christ.  About 200 years after the death of the Apostles, the church adopted these customs and renamed them with “Christian” sounding names.  None of these are taught in the Bible!  I tell people not to believe me or their minister, but believe the Bible.  READ IT FOR YOURSELF!

So where does all this false teaching and traditions come from?  All the way back to the garden of Eden.  Satan deceived Eve and has been deceiving and lying to the whole world ever since. (John 8:44, Rev 12:9)  Yes, your minister may be kind and sincere, but if he does not teach Bible truth, he is deceived and unknowingly working for Satan!  Paul explains it this way, “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.  And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.  Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”

2 Corinthians 11:13-15

If you have read this far, perhaps you are troubled by this trend.  Maybe God is calling you to change your life and follow Him!  “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.  God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”   John 4:23-24

Up to now I’ve addressed those who already go to church, but what about the “unchurched”?  Maybe you have seen the hypocrisy and want no part of it.  God may also be calling you!  Will you admit you are a sinner?  Will you start keeping all of God’s commandments and take instruction from His Word?  Paul has some condemning words for those who refuse to repent!

“In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:  Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;” 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9

Now some GOOD NEWS, Jesus came into the world to save sinners!  (1 Thess 5:9, 1 Tim 1:15)  Although Jesus finished the work of salvation with His suffering, death and resurrection, we have an obligation to His covenant.  “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.”  Hebrews 10:16-17

“If ye love me, keep my commandments.”   John 14:15

Keeping the Commandments and doing good works is expected of a Christian, but in no way can save him.  Paul makes this clear:  “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”  Ephesians 2:8-10

For a “Babe in Christ,” good works begin with Bible study and prayer.  Finding a church teaching the truth and fellowshipping with true believers is the next step.  As you begin to study your Bible, you may have questions.  Please Email us.
